First and foremost, I would like thank everyone who has joined my mailing list and has taken the time and trouble to send me emails, whether criticising what I do or encouraging me to keep on writing. It really means a lot to hear from my readers, whether it be good or bad.

A fair few of you have written to me asking me more about myself... well, even though this is a personal site, it isn't a "who am I" kinda site. This isn't a site where I post pictures of my friends, family, pets etc. The basis for this site is to voice out my thoughts about things in general. It isn't a blog or online journal, it isn't a fiction writing site and it isn't a site which serves to primarily trash things in general. The reason this site is in existance is because I love to write, it serves as an outlet for my need to write. That is all. However, I do understand the need for you, my dear reader to know more about me. I too, frequent some personal sites and I find that I need to know more about the writer... and if that information isn't posted, well, I get somewhat frustrated.

Why haven't I posted information regarding myself before? Well, this site used to be called something else a few years ago and if you are familiar with my site, you'd know that some of the things I write can be somewhat controversial. In my previous site, I went by my name, there were pictures of me etc. Unfortunately, I got into a little sticky situation i.e. a potential client was a "fan" and that didn't go down too well with my superiors when he brought it up in a meeting, hence I took that site offline. It came back reincarnated as puffergal'sstories.

So why "Puffergal"?? Well, I have this strange obsession with puffer fish. I used to have 38 in a large aquarium at one time, mostly green spotted puffers and figure eight puffers. Unfortunately, some mysterious ailment struck them and they started dying at a rate of one every two days or so. Totally heart breaking. Till today, I still don't know what happened. I did everything possible i.e. searching for help online, running every test possible, consulting with the local pet stores and even dissecting one (after it died of course) to see if there were parasites or the such. I suspect that it could be the horrible water quality that we get (which, even though you can SEE the water i.e. it isn't clear, the government says is safe to drink)... but I can't be sure. Today, I have 3 puffers, two figure eights and a spotted one. The tank is way smaller now but it suits me and the puffers just fine. Puffergal seemed to be a good a name as any.

So who am I?? Oh boy... it is so easy to write about other topics in general but now, I find that I am at a lost for words. Where should I begin... hmmmm... gawd, this takes me back to school where every year, they make us write a composition about ourselves...
