It is the Olympus D620L if you are in America. I have to
tell you that it cost many a pretty penny but I am ecstatic!! This camera is
superb... and it has a lot more features than my old Mavica. The thing that
I am most impressed with is the fact that the pictures are a LOT sharper
than my old one. It also looks a LOT better, the feel of it is much more
ergonomic etc. Well, considering what the market value for that camera is, I
would expect it to be heaps better.
A lot of people wonder why I would spend so much money on a digital camera (my boyfriend is one of them). Well, I like taking pictures, I like the fact that one doesn't have to wait for the pictures to be developed, I like the fact that taking pictures with a digital camera is free i.e. one doesn't have to pay for film and processing.
I have waited for over five months fo my digital camera and trust me when I say that I really felt lost without one. It isn't to say that I used it a whole lot but I liked the security in knowing that if the need ever arose, I would have a camera on hand.
The sad part about everything is that there are many more toys I can buy for this camera e.g. a tripod, a telephoto lense, an AC adapter, a wide angle lense, an external flash etc. Now, I know that I don't have to buy the additional stuff but who can resist? I am a technology junkie. I don't spend much money on clothes, makeup, CDs etc. Instead I buy expensive toys.
I will be posting pictures on this website of mine shortly... stay tuned. Whilst the outdoor pictures are absolutely fantastic, I have a complain about the indoor ones. The camera doesn't perform too well in low light conditions (but then again, what camera does?).
